So my parents ended up coming over from Louisiana on November 2nd. We went to Jason’s Deli to eat then went over to Landon’s parents until about 830 pm to go to the hospital. I was not nervous until we were leaving the house. When we got there they hooked me up to a monitor and told me that I was already contracting. I was still only at a 3 ½ and 65% so they decided not to do cytotec because you cannot stop that once they start. So they did my IV and then around 11 pm they decided to put me on 2 out of 20 on the Pitocin for the night until the morning. (The doctor obviously did not want to come in that night). So needless to say it was a very long night, for both Landon and I. I ended up having to go to the bathroom like every 30 minutes it was awful.
My parents and Landon's parents both left to go to bed since I was not planning on having the baby that night.
In the morning, everyone came back around 7ish and I got a new nurse named Rebecca, who was awesome. She asked if some nursing students could come and observe, who were also great, they held my legs the whole time when I was pushing. Finally at about 9:30 the doctor came in checked me and I was at a 6 so he decided to break my water.

About an hour later, they came back in and I was ready to push.
Jason was turned faced up and the doctor was unable to turn him. After about 30 minutes of pushing the doctor left and had the nurse just there with me. At that point, I realized I might be pushing for awhile. The nurse tried tug of war with a sheet and sitting on the end of the bed and all different types of positions. The doctor came back a little later and kept telling me that we were going to have the baby before lunch. Everyone in there kept saying oh your almost there your almost there after two hours of pushing I did not believe them at all but continued to push when I was supposed to. By the end it seemed like everyone was in my room watching. After over 2 in half hours of pushing with a lot of "ooo you are almost there" and a million “one more push”, at 1:42 pm on November 3, 2011, Jason Daniel Ward was finally here at 8lbs 13 ounces and 20.5 inches.

Everyone that had come was able to hold him.
His blood sugar was not stable so they had to take him and try to get it stable. For the next day they had to continually check his blood sugar before each feeding, they said it was very normal for bigger babies. Luckily, he was just fine.

Later that night Papa came by to see Jason.
